A famous incident in 1917 New York in which a work entitled “Fountain”, consisting of a urinal signed by the artist, was rejected for exhibition prompted the question - Is this art ?
Even now after nearly 100 years have passed this question is still valid. If he hears this from heaven it would surely make Duchamp roar with laughter. He would say “what ready made people as usual.”
