The year 2024 will open with a two-person exhibition "Faceless FACELESS" by UKIGAWA Hidenobu and AKABOSHI Masanori.
UKIGAWA Hidenobu has been presenting his sculptures for more than half a century since the 1970s. The sculpture, made by brazed piano wire into a three-dimensional form, seems to draw out the essence of existence, free from any sense of materiality.AKAHOSHI Masanori has been involved in a wide variety of theater productions, including video, scriptwriting, directing, and acting.
In this exhibition, visitors will see the stage space and theater created by the collaboration of these two artists from different genres. The title "Faceless" is taken from a script by Masanori Akahoshi, which was created for this exhibition and inspired by the Noh play DOJOJI.
During the exhibition, eight theatrical performances based on this script are scheduled. During the time excluding the performances, visitors will be able to view an installation exhibition inspired by DOJOJI.We hope you enjoy the collaboration of sculpture and theater.
