more
There used to be a lot of girls who fainted when they heard the Beatles. Even if you don't faint, some people may have had the experience of having their lachrymal glands relax or becoming unable to move due to music. It doesn't seem to matter what kind of music you like. When we think of music, we tend to think of enjoying the melody, rhythm, and performance techniques of a song, but the music here does not refer When we listen to music, we feel as though we are enjoying the piece or performance (calmly) and at the same time experiencing the sound as a stimulus that fills the space or shakes the body (self-defeating or creatively). The mind-body system is discontinuous in places, so the body can react in ways that the mind doesn't expect. Therefore, the music we listen to with the intention of healing actually has a great influence on us.
All works by 51 artists will be sold at auction, and 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the Malala Fund, which supports girls' education in developing countries.(about malala fund ▶ )
On the 2nd (Saturday), we will invite composer Akiko Yamane as a guest for a talk event about music and art. Ms. Yamane composes music based on the concept of “seeing sound and designing shapes with sound,” and has created many unique works such as “Polka Dot Collection” and “Kawaii^_-☆.”
You can bid at the gallery or online during the exhibition. (There is an input form on the +1art web page)
・Bidding will be in units of 1,000 yen, and in the case of a tie, the bidder who bids first will win the bid.

Yamane’s expressional core is “pop toxicity” which is one of the symbols of Japanese society in the 80s and 90s, and has been created by mass production, mass consumption, peer pressure and human desire.
Yamane is also working on curating and creating places where people can listen deeply and share their own individual, small senses that are unique to each of us.

We deeply appreciate your cooperation.
The Malala Fund supports girls' education in developing countries and continues to work to create an environment that allows women to participate in society. Since its opening, +1art has continued to hold a charity exhibition that donates to the Malala Fund once a year.
It may take several generations, but let's look forward to the success of our children, who will lead the future.
