IWATA Moe
10/23 wed.ー11/02
The +2 Gallery hosts exhibitions by up-and-coming young artists, linked to the exhibitions held at +1art. As a place to present experimental attempts, the gallery plans to utilize a small space that is not a white cube.
In October, we will hold the IWATA Moe exhibition.
In this exhibition, Iwata's minimalist world will be presented in various ways, mainly in the form of video works (animations) using paper scraps as a motif, and the many photographs that make up the animated films will be shown as flip books (para-para manga). Please enjoy the world of IWATA Moe at +2.
IWATA Moe
Time and memory are abstract entities that have no form, yet they certainly exist and are deeply rooted in our consciousness.
Video is a medium created by cutting out a moment from the flow of time and reconstructing it.
The process seems similar to how human memory works.
Images recorded through the objective object of a camera and memories inscribed through our bodies.。
I would like to continue to think about how they are similar and how they are different, while engaging with the images.
